Remington Park – Tyler, TX
Remington Park is a prestigious residential area located in the city of Tyler, Texas. It is a restricted cul-de-sac nestled behind Cumberland Estates and situated very close to Loop 49. Property here is cheap and affordable, and the area is quaint, peaceful and beautiful. The Community and Attractions
Tyler, Texas is an exciting urban town with a population of about 96,000 people. Here residents can enjoy an urban setting without having to live in a huge metropolitan area. Tyler has an abundance of attractions for residents such as the Caldwell Zoo, Tyler Museum of Art, Tyler State Park, American Freedom Museum, and Carnegie Public library.
The Caldwell Zoo is an eighty-five acre zoo that offers a wide variety of animal from all around the world for visitors to experience.
The Tyler Museum of Art offers a wide variety of art from not only professional artists, but also gives aspiring artists the opportunity to display their work as well. The museum has volunteer opportunities, and internships available.
Tyler State Park is a natural park where visitors can picnic, and camp, hike as well as boat, and swim in the park’s sixty-four acre lake.
The American Freedom Museum has over 15,000 square feet of galleries filled with artifacts and documents from American history. The Carnegie Public Library offers a wide array of books, magazines, and articles for the community to access.
Parks and Recreation
Tyler has over twenty parks scattered throughout the city with nature trails where residents can bike, jog, or simply walk and enjoy the environment. Nature trails include Faulkner Park Trail, Faulkner Bike Trail, and the South Tyler Trails.
There are also fun water parks for children to enjoy in the summer. For example there is the Faulkner Sprayground, Fun Forest Pool and Sprayground, and the Wolder Pool and Sprayground. Children of the area enjoy the pools and water games of the park especially in the hot summer months.
Tyler also has the Glass Recreation Center which opened in 2001, and since has become the most popular recreation center in the city. With locker rooms, showers, weight rooms, basketball/volleyball courts, walking/jogging track, computer lab, and so much more, members can enjoy a wide variety of activities.
The center also offers drama camp for kids, Zumba classes, yoga classes, gospel step aerobics, karate, and women’s self-defense classes. Perhaps the best part about the center is the admission is cheap and affordable.
Tyler, Texas has a spectacular school district, the Tyler Independent School District, but residents of Remington Park have a choice of utilizing TISD or sending their children to Whitehouse Independent School District which also has a stellar school district. Tyler also is home to Tyler Junior College, and University of Texas at Tyler. With all its attractions, Tyler is a great place to call home.
