Camp Deer Run is a Christian-based non-profit summer camp. During camp, youth will enjoy crafts, swimming, quiet time and group activities such as relays or horseback riding.
The Tyler YMCA is also nearby providing additional opportunities such day camps and sports lessons.

The Willow Brook Country Club is only a 10 to 15 minute drive from the Deer Run community and has an 18-hole golf course, its own croquet lawn (the only one in East Texas), six tennis courts and an Olympic size pool.
